eLSE - cea mai importanta conferinta de elearning din Romania

The 8th eLearning and Software for Education Conference - eLSE 2012 is organized by the Romanian Advanced Distributed Learning Association and will be held in Bucharest, in April 26th - 27th 2012.

The purpose of the annual international scientific conference on „eLearning and software for education” is to enable the academia, research entities and corporate to boost the potential of the technology enhanced learning environments, by providing a forum for exchange of ideas, research outcomes, business case and technical achievements.

The central theme of this forthcoming event focuses on "Leveraging technology for learning".

The conference aims to promote original articles of basic research results and experimental development, case studies and best practices, critical analysis and commentary, statistics, assessments and forecasts on Technology Enhanced Learning.
The conference advances for discussion the following main sections:
  1. Management strategies and policies
  2. Pedagogy and psychopedagogy in new learning environments
  3. Computer science and new support technologies in learning
  4. Serious games in theory and practice
  5. Corporate elearning and training
  6. E- Content / Instructional design.

Wikipedia de la online la offline

Unul din cele mai dificile momente in predarea tehnologiilor web 2.0 este atunci cand se atinge subiectul  Wikipedia. Nu cred ca exista student care sa nu fi accesat macar o data un articol sau sa fi efectuat o cautare. Dar chestiuni precum ce este cu adevarat aceasta enciclopedie cu continut generat de utilizatori, daca ar trebui sa o folosim in mediul academic, daca se poate cita un articol si cum anume  s.a.m.d. cam dau dureri de cap. Este important sa transmitem studentilor un mod de lucru corect atat in accesarea resurselor cat si in editarea lor.
Rasfoind webul am dat  peste blogul "History Tech" intretinut de Glenn Wiebe, foarte bine scris, destinat in special celor pasionati de istorie (fie ei profesori, cercetatori, muzeografi sau arheologi). Postul din 2 septembrie mi-a atras atentia: Cum sa creezi o carte din articole Wikipedia.
Si citindu-l am ramas placut surprinsa nu numai de continut si subiectul in discutie ci mai ales de referintele incluse. Astfel am citit despre de ce chiar creatorul Wikipedia , Jimmy Wales, nu recomanda includerea Wikipediei pe liste bibliografice, dar si despre recomandari in predarea acestui subiect sensibil (se ating si se discuta si licentele Creative Commons sau dreptul la copyright).
Insa postul cu pricina mi-a atras atentia asupra unei optiuni recente inclusa de Wikipedia in interfata, si anume crearea de "carti" din articolele postate. Astfel, in partea stanga exista in meniu "Creare carte" care odata activata permita utilizatorului includerea intr-un fisier de tip pdf a articolelor cautate (acesta se poate descarca si in format printabil ePub). Am devenit si eu "scriitor instant" cu o carte despre orasul meu -
Timisoara.

Ca si utilitate educationala imediata vad un exercitiu interactiv cu studentii in cautarea resurselor in Wikipedia pe marginea subiectelor din programa de studiu.
